Pascal Maeder

In his over 20 years of experience in the motion picture industry, Pascal Maeder studied film production at Concordia University in the mid-1980s, worked on movie sets as a lighting technician from 1989 to 1991, then went on to produce his first feature film at age 27 in 1992. In the 1990s, Maeder founded a multimedia & live theatre company in Montreal, taught film in New York City and produced his second feature film on location in Havana.

In 2000, Maeder founded Atopia through which he produced and distributed critically acclaimed films such as SPIT: Squeegee Punks In Traffic (Montreal, 2001); El Ring (Havana, 2002); A Silent Love (Sundance, 2004); Jimmywork (Toronto, 2004); On the Trail of Igor Rizzi (Venice, 2006) and Imitation (Cinequest, 2007).

Throughout the years, Maeder developed numerous contacts with Creative, Production, Distribution, Sales and Acquisition Executives in the Film Industry. He now runs the distribution branch of Atopia.
