Montreal — Tuesday September 11th, 2007: Montreal filmmaker André-Line Beauparlant’s third documentary, Antlers, will be screening in Maniwaki at the Maison de la Culture de la Vallée-de-la-Gatineau on Saturday September 15, at 9pm.

Antlers is a documentary about a rare and shy species: the big game hunters of the forests of Northern Quebec. Alternating between interviews and savage hunting sequences, the film overflows with humour, tenderness, and heart-stopping authenticity as it touches subjects such as love, death, and religion.

After successfully closing the 25th Rendez-Vous du Cinéma Québécois, the film screened to appreciative audiences in theaters across Quebec, as well as at several international documentary film festivals.

Antlers will also be available on DVD as of October 2nd.
