Montreal, Monday September 17, 2007 — Atopia is pleased to announce the participation of On the Trail of Igor Rizzi, Noël Mitrani’s first feature-length film, at the 2007 Calgary Film Festival. After an exceptional run at the festivals (Critics Week — Venice, Toronto International Film Festival, Festival du Nouveau Cinéma, Thessaloniki) and after receiving the award for Best First Canadian Feature and inclusion in Canada’s Top Ten list organized by the Toronto International Film Festival, On the Trail of Igor Rizzi will be screened at 10.15pm on Saturday, September 22 at The Uptown's Upstairs Theatre in Calgary. A grief-stricken and destitute French ex-soccer player has moved to Montreal, the home town of his lost love, in an effort to recapture her presence. He is haunted by the regret of never having told her how much he loved her.
