Montreal — Tuesday Octobre 23th 2007 — ATOPIA is proud to announce the upcoming US premiere of the feature Imitation at Chicago's Facets Cinema. Recently presented as opening film at the Boston Latino International Film Festival, Federico Hidalgo's second feature stars Vanessa Bauche (Amore Perros), Jesse Aaron Dwyre and Conrad Pla. Imitation has delighted its audiences at the Cinequest Film Festival, San Diego Latino Film Festival, Vancouver Latin American Film Festival and Vistas Film Festival.

Imitation will be screened at Facets Cinema, on October 26, 27, 28, 2007 at 6:30 pm and 8:45 pm.on Friday October 26th 2007 at 6:30 pm and 8:45 pm.

Teresa, an alluring Mexican woman, comes to Montreal in search of her husband who had abandoned her in Mexico, cutting her life in two. In Montreal, she meets Fenton, a young man who falls in love with her. Fenton convinces Teresa to let him help her find her husband. In their pursuit, Teresa and Fenton criss-cross Montreal, persuading a string of comical characters to reveal clues that will finally lead them to the wayward husband. In the end, Teresa must decide whether to reveal the painful secret that haunts her.
